There are two main, and very important requirements specifically for Delta AirLines

These requirements include UPAS and a recommendation.

Just having all of the other recommendations mentioned in the previous links is not enough. In order to get recognized at Delta AirLines, you must join the Universal Pilot Application Services (UPAS). UPAS is where you will need to post your resume so that it will reach Delta. Otherwise, there are so many applicants that you'll never get noticed. As soon as you enter the office for an interview, they will pull up your application on UPAS to give feedback. So being a member is a must!!

For more information, and to register go to www.upas.com

Along with being a member of UPAS, you must also get a recommendation. However, here's the catch. The recommendation must be from someone you know well who already works at Delta, and who has preferably flown with you. These recommendations can help greatly in getting you hired, and are depended on to find good, quality people. If you don't get a recommendation, then you are selected through a process, where parameters are entered into a computer, and the computer in return spits out however many applicants meet those parameters. However, this can consist of thousands of applications, causing your chances of getting hired to be very slim.

A few other general requirements to keep in mind, is you must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for a job with Delta AirLines. You must have graduated with a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university. Post graduate education will be given favorable consideration. You must possess a current passport and be legally eligible to be employed in the United States. And you must be able to pass a criminal background check.
