The Delta AirLines interview process has been known to be very stressful, however, if you know what you're doing and you're prepared, it doesn't have to be traumatic. The interview process consists of two main parts; Phase I and Phase II.

Phase I

The first part of the interview is three hours of computer-based testing.
1st hour - this is the knowledge test. Here you are given various calculations, and if you have your commercial pilots license you should be able to do these no problem.
2nd hour - This is a cognitive screening test. This test has to do with multi-tasking, in which you can be asked to do three things at once. This test has known to be the most challenging, but at the same time can be fun.
3rd hour - this is a miniature personality test. Here you are asked random questions. Some questions even get repeated to see if you'll choose the same answer. Such questions could be "have you ever jumped for joy," or "are you afraid of snakes."

Then, once you pass the tests, you will be asked to come back later that afternoon for the actual interview. The interview takes about an hour. Here, there goal is to find out why you are interested in Delta, if you know what Delta is all about, and if you have the customer service focus that is so important to them. They look to see that you understand the focus at Delta, what their goal is, and when a situation goes bad, are you able to think out side of the box from your normal responsibilities.

Phase II

During this phase, you are asked to come back to Delta for another 2 hours of computer-based testing. After this testing, the applicant along with their test results are sent to an industrial psychologist. Here, in one hour interview, the psychologist reviews the results with the applicant.

Once you've completed this you're done!! And Delta will call the newly hired pilot to set up a class date to begin their own personal training!

If by chance you don't pass the tests and don't get hired, Delta gives you a second chance, and you can re-apply in 6 months.
